Your Right to Data Deletion
At Merry Magic Mail, we respect your privacy and your right to control your personal data. You can request deletion of your data at any time. This page explains how to submit a data deletion request and what happens when you do.
What Data We Store
When you use our service, we may store the following information:
- Account Information: Name, email address, profile picture (if signed in via social login)
- Letters: Letters written to Santa, including child names, ages, and content
- Santa Replies: AI-generated responses to letters
- Call Credits: Purchased call time and usage history
- Wishlists: Wishlist items and child profiles
- Purchase History: Transaction records for orders
- Shipping Addresses: For physical letter deliveries
How to Request Data Deletion
To request deletion of your personal data, please follow these steps:
Option 1: Email Request (Recommended)
Send an email to support@merrymagicmail.com with:
- Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
- Your registered email address
- Specify whether you want complete account deletion or specific data removal
Option 2: Delete from Your Account
If you have an account, you can delete individual items directly:
- Delete individual letters from your account dashboard
- Remove child profiles from the Family section
- Delete wishlist items individually
Facebook Login Users
If you signed up using Facebook Login, you can also request data deletion through Facebook:
- Go to your Facebook Settings > Apps and Websites
- Find "Merry Magic Mail" and click "Remove"
- This will revoke our access to your Facebook data
- To delete data already stored with us, also send an email request as described above
What Happens After Your Request
- Acknowledgment: We will confirm receipt of your request within 48 hours
- Processing: Your data will be deleted within 30 days of the request
- Confirmation: We will send you a confirmation email once deletion is complete
- Exceptions: Some data may be retained for legal compliance (e.g., transaction records for tax purposes) for up to 7 years
Data That Cannot Be Deleted
Certain data may be retained even after a deletion request:
- Transaction records required for tax and legal compliance
- Anonymized analytics data that cannot be linked to you
- Data required to prevent fraud or enforce our terms
